Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. She began her acting career at the age of 16 in her debut in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land a part in Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was very intense. Amy was unable to make the switch from modeling to acting since model actors aren't generally considered good actors. Models are often only given minor or unimportant roles. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger roles beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy became famous for her efforts throughout the previous 10 years. She did some big films within the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role in The Shameless series.
