Zoe Saldana (born June 19 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana and Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. The actress was born in New Jersey, Passaic to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her birthplace was in Queens. Her family moved to Dominican Republic at the age of 10, and there they would stay for the rest of seven years. Zoe developed a passion to dance while in Dominican Republic. She started her training at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in which she was able to study ballet and other forms of dance.
