Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946 to a low-income family, with twelve kids eventually included, discovered early that she could escape suffering through her vivid imagination. She joined RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969.
