Sheryl Underwood, an American comedian and TV personality best known as the host for The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime television. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas was raised in Arkansas in the area of Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of a very troubled background. She spent most of her young life caring for her younger sister Frankie suffering from polio. As a teenager, she experienced an uneasy relationship with her mom. Sheryl claimed she was once told that her mother had attacked one of the parents to her son due to the fact that she was too closer to the father. Sheryl, after graduating college, joined the army. She was interested in comedy. She was the first female finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. She began her TV work in 1992 by having a frequent appearance as a comedian on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. The show was hosted by her Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011 she has been appearing as a co-host on the talk show The Talk. She's also appeared in fictional shows such as Bulworth Niki and Beauty Shop.
